About Day MyLane

At Day MyLane, we believe in the power of community—a vibrant patchwork of global connections that unite people of African descent across continents and generations. Our platform is dedicated to celebrating and strengthening these bonds.

Fashion allows us to tell stories of pride in our culture, about who we are as people of African descent. Our pieces offer you the chance to acknowledge your interests and share your desires with those around you in a way that not only turns heads but also changes minds and hearts, one design at a time.

We understand that our past shapes our present. By connecting the dots between home and diaspora, we discover the incredible insights that come from connecting with community. We invite you to join us and be part of a movement that celebrates the richness of African identity and the strength of our global family.

.We believe in celebrating communication across cultural lines.

We are on a mission to connect people.

When you wear a piece of our clothing, we want you to feel empowered, we want you to feel excited, and we want you to feel validated.

Where did the idea for Day MyLane come from?
Born out of a longing and desire to connect life in the diaspora with our Founder’s stories, rich cultural heritage, and identity and to create a space for those who can relate to or and appreciate the pan-african diasporan experience.

Born in the United States to Igbo parents, our Founder enjoys Korean dramas, a variety of cuisines, and different genres of African music; Drawn to vibrant colors, textures, and visual storytelling, in particular, stories that engage the imagination. this is reflected in the creative expression of the DML designs and in the beginning, T-shirts seemed to be the ideal tool of self-expression.

At Day MyLane, we believe our humanity is our Superpower and each person brings something unique, something wonderful, something special to the table.

The "Connecting the Dots" series on YouTube brings our stories to life, inviting viewers into heartfelt conversations about cultural identity, heritage and the shared experiences that unite us.

Each episode is a thread, weaving together the unique tales that shape who we are.

By sharing our stories, we find common ground, learn from one another, and build bridges across oceans and generations.
